Firstly. Apologies to those of you who have been kind enough to comment. Despite Googling, fiddling with settings in blogger and Safari I just can't access them! After Sherbrook we headed north on the Trans Canada Highway. It's on 1 lane in either direction, with some passing lanes on hills, but it's not too busy. ....is a very interesting historic site which is “sacred” to the Acadiens, i.e. the mostly French settlers who came here in the 1680’s but were forcibly deported when the British won the region in a war with the French. We took a drive out from Halifax on another glorious day to St Margaret's Bay. The leaves are turning and the small communities we passed through were looking their best: shiplap houses, white churches, lots of annuals still flowering and many displays of pumpkins for sale. Chester Peggy's Cove
